Hi all 

The other day someone mentioned about there being no Space Invaders for the SPV, and it was on the list of game I was going to write, so I sat down yesterday morning to start on it.

So after a couple of days of coding, drawing graphics and ripping sounds, here we are.

Of course this is heavily based on the arcade original.

All graphics, save the background, have been made by my own fair mouse. The background is based on the one used in Mame.

The sound's are sampled from an original arcade machine - not sure of the legality of this, but if the owners wish me to remove them, I shall at their request.

If you spot any bugs, just let me know

KEYS
----
Action key enters the game
Joypad Left or 4 or left left 		- move left
Joypad Right or 6 or right softkey	- move right
* or # or 5				- fire

Backup key quits the game
volume up / down switch now does just that
Record button pauses/restarts the action


HOW TO INSTALL
--------------

1. make sure your phone is app unlocked - see www.modaco.com if unsure how to do this
2. copy the exe from the zip onto the storage card of your phone
3. create a shortcut to the EXE
4. move the shortcut into the "\IPSM\Windows\Start Menu\Games" folder on the phone
5. on the phone, navigate to games folder and select the shortcut

- very occasionally the stops very briefly - I think it's a sound buffer issue, but will live with it for the moment

+ - cellophane mode - this replicates the coloured plastic strips that ran across the screen to give the illusion that the graphics weren't just black and white

F - whilst re-testing found that you can't shoot the aliens if they reach the bottom row - doh! - fixed now

+ - softkey support for vijay555 and his 'woman-pleasing opposable thumb' :)
